To create your first A-thon fundraiser with Teamfi, the first thing you will need to do is to select which type of fundraiser you want to run With Teamfi, you can choose between three entirely free digital fundraiser types:

  1. Crowdfunding Campaigns
  2. Custom A-thon Fundraisers
  3. Calendar Fundraisers

You can choose which fundraiser you'd like to run on the following screen which will appear once you sign-up for a Teamfi account – in this case, you will want to select "A-thon Fundraiser"

Step 2: Set Your A-thon's Custom Settings

One of the great features about Teamfi's A-thon fundraisers is that you can customize your a-thon's units in any way imaginable, letting you collect pledges based on any sort of activity you can think of. Once you've selected and A-thon as your fundraiser, you will need to specify your type of a-thon on the following screen which will ask you to fill in three fields:

  1. Your A-thon's Name: This is the type of a-thon fundraiser your group will be running. Common examples are lift-a-thons, walk-a-thons, hit-a-thons, and more.
  2. You A-thon's Unit (Singular): This is the unit that your a-thon will collect pledges based on. Common examples are lap, hit, pound, shot, or pin, but the options are endless.
  3. Your A-thon's Unit (Past-tense Plural): This is just your a-thon's unit in another format that will be used when communicating your a-thon performances to any supporters who left a pledge. This could be laps walked, shots made, pounds lifted, or anything else.
Pick your a-thon settings screen on the Teamfi fundraising app.
In this example, the a-thon fundraiser will be a Walk-a-thon, collecting pledges based on laps walked.
