TeamFi’s Calendar Fundraiser was a huge HIT! I don’t believe our PTO has ever raised this much money with a fundraiser. To put it into perspective, we made probably around $2,000 or less last year with two fundraisers. I joined at the end of last school year and knew we needed to try something different this year. I took a chance on TeamFi, and I’m glad I did!

This online Calendar Fundraiser was easy for parents and donors, fun for the kids, and effective at raising money. We received the funds via direct deposit to our bank account within a few business days of giving them our banking information.

Why We Loved It:

• We raised over $13,400.74 online through TeamFi’s Calendar Fundraiser platform, and an additional $788 in cash, for a total of $14,188.74 before prizes.
• Parents were thrilled with the simplicity. No selling, no collecting money, and no pressure to buy things they didn’t want.• Donors found it easy to give. Most appreciated not needing to take cash out of the bank and loved the seamless online process.
• TeamFi doesn’t take any fees for themselves—just standard credit card processing. There’s also an optional tip feature that donors can adjust.
• TeamFi did most of the heavy lifting. TeamFi tracks individual donations and classroom totals. It’s quick and easy to see how students are doing and what place each class is in.
• Helpful Owners. The owners of TeamFi are friendly and helpful. They can Facetime with you and will answer any questions you may have during the entire process.

How We Customized It: Although TeamFi is set up for individual students to complete their own calendars, we ran our fundraiser by class instead. Each student’s donations would count towards a classroom calendar as well as towards individual rewards. The goal was for the donations from all of the students in the class to fill their teacher’s calendar.

Note to other PTOs: TeamFi doesn’t yet support linking student donations/calendars directly to a teacher's calendar, but with a little creativity, it’s definitely possible. We created a teacher calendar for each class in Canva. Three PTO volunteers manually added each student’s donations to their teacher’s calendar in Canva. We put little hearts over each day that was donated from all the students in each class. It took some extra work but was worth it. Most of our families are low income, and having each student complete their own calendar would be too much for most families.If you have each student complete their own calendars and don’t take a classroom approach, you won’t have to do this extra step. Everything will be done for you on the TeamFi website.

Prize Strategy: We kept prizes simple, fun, and free or low-cost. Classrooms earned rewards like pajama days, crazy hair days, no shoes in class day, and extra recess. Top-earning classrooms school-wide won parties (pizza, cupcake, and bubble parties), and our top two students earned a “Skip the Car Line” pass for their parents. We drew 20+ names at random each Friday to win a small prize, and the 1st place student in each class got a prize from our prize stash.

Final Thoughts: This was one of the most parent-friendly and donor-friendly fundraisers we’ve ever done. TeamFi made it so simple to keep track of individual and classroom totals. It saved PTO volunteers a lot of time.We’ll definitely be using TeamFi every Fall moving forward. We highly recommend them to any PTO or school group looking for a simple and effective fundraising platform.

Not sure why every HS in America wouldn't use teamfi @kanon_dean it's the only company that doesn't profit off your program.  The money you raise all goes to your program.   No brainer!
