Fill My Bow is a brand new fundraising format for cheer, dance, and spirit teams in which participants try to get a donation for each of 30 spaces in their bow. Each donor leaves their name and fills a bow space. Spaces range from $5-$100 and total to $740 per bow – raising you more than enough money for competition entry fees, uniforms, travel, and more.

Everything you need to know about running a fill my fundraiser.
Ideal timing for a Fill My Bow fundraiser depends on your program's calendar. School cheer programs do best in late July or August, right as tryouts wrap and football season excitement builds, or ahead of a competitive cheer season when the squad is fired up and parents are engaged. All-star and club programs have a different window: right after teams are set in the fall, before competition fees and travel costs hit, or in the spring ahead of a national qualifier like Worlds or Summit.
Whatever the season, a 2–4 week window works best — a short, organized campaign often beats a long one.
Book a demo, get your sign-up link, then create your fundraiser and add your roster — Teamfi generates a donation page for each cheerleader automatically. A full all-star gym with six teams sets up just as fast as a single varsity squad. A few things worth considering:
Cheer fundraising usually means a spirit night, a car wash in the gym parking lot, or discount cards sold to the same circle of family friends — all of them work, and all of them ask the same families for one more evening.
This one is a bow — and in cheer, a bow is never just gear. Every donor's claim fills in a shape with the cheerleader's name on it, and watching it fill beats handing out candy bars, especially for the cheerleader who dreads asking.
It runs alongside the season instead of interrupting it — no practice sacrificed, no shifts to staff. Launch it the week teams are placed and it works while your squad perfects the routine.

Optional tips
How do the digital Fill My Bow donations work — can someone claim more than one space?
Absolutely, there's no limit. A donor can claim one space or ten, and each space they take shows their name if they choose to leave one. Donations don't have to match the preset spaces either: anyone can give a custom amount outside the $5–$100 range. Every dollar flows through Stripe straight to your program's account — no envelopes of cash coming back from practice — and your Teamfi dashboard shows each claimed space and donation the moment it lands.
Can we run a Fill My Bow alongside our stunt-a-thon, calendar, or crowdfunding fundraiser?
You can, though most families give once a season — running two at once often means getting half of each. Many cheer programs slot a Fill My Bow into the opposite part of their calendar from other digital options like stunt-a-thons or pick-a-date calendars.
For example, if your school squad runs a crowdfunding campaign at the start of football season, a Fill My Bow works well when competitive cheer season kicks off in the winter — or in the spring ahead of a national qualifier like Worlds or Summit, when travel costs are about to hit.
When should we run a Fill My Bow fundraiser?
It depends on which season your program runs. School cheer programs do best in late July or August as tryouts wrap and football season kicks off, or at the end of a strong competitive season when the community is rallied around the squad. All-star and club programs have a different window: right after teams are set in the fall, before competition fees come due — or in the spring ahead of a national qualifier like Worlds or Summit, when travel costs are about to hit.
Whichever calendar you're on, most Fill My Bow fundraisers find success in just a 2–4 week campaign — leaving your squad with funds for new uniforms, competition entry fees, travel, or the next tumbling clinic.
What happens if some of the cheerleaders on our cheer team don't participate?
No problem at all — nothing breaks. Your squad's fundraiser total is just the sum of what each cheerleader raises, so there's no threshold to hit and partial participation still works. With cheer rosters ranging from small squads to large all-star programs, grouping participants by squad or age division makes it easy to see which groups are moving and where a nudge would help.
One way to boost participation is a simple incentive for funds raised — a team dinner, custom warm-up gear, or covered competition fees for top fundraisers. Cheer programs already raise serious money on Teamfi: Oro Valley Youth Football and Cheer in Arizona raised $71,000 with a Teamfi calendar fundraiser across their football and cheer programs combined — and a Fill My Bow works the same way, with each cheerleader sharing their own link.
How do out-of-town family members donate to our Fill My Bow?
This is the beauty of running a Fill My Bow with Teamfi — it's all digital! To donate, anyone can tap the participant's link and claim a space from wherever they are. Cheer families know this problem well: grandparents and relatives can't make it to a national competition across the country, but they still want to support the squad. Cheerleaders share their link by text or social in one tap, and if your program is using Teamfi's free automated donor outreach feature, the work is done for you.
