Adding 20 contacts is optional, but here's why we recommend it.
No — participants do not need to add 20 contacts for your fundraiser to go live or be successful. Many organizers and participants choose not to add any contacts at all, and their fundraisers can still be successful.
That said, adding 20 contacts is a best-practice recommendation. It's the most reliable way to maximize your fundraiser's reach, and it ensures your participants take full advantage of Teamfi's automatic SMS outreach — a free feature that handles outreach to potential donors.
Without contacts added, participants will need to share their unique donation pages manually — either through the built-in one-click social sharing tools or by copying their link and sending it out directly to potential supporters.
